Pittsburgh Medical Malpractice Attorney
Christine Biancheria and Deborah Maliver represent people in and around Pittsburgh and their families who have been injured or lost a loved one due to medical malpractice. The proof for our success as medical malpractice attorneys resides in our track record for winning cases and helping people who have been severely injured because of the negligence of a surgeon, nurse, doctor, or other healthcare professional.
Experienced medical negligence law firm
At Biancheria & Maliver, P.C., we are extremely careful about what possible claims we choose to pursue. Christine Biancheria has been practicing law in the area for twenty years. After completing her undergraduate and law degrees at the University of Pittsburgh-where she was awarded with a University Scholarship, named the Student Bar Association President, and graduated with honors-Ms. Biancheria was appointed to the Order of the Coif and the Order of the Barristers. Both groups encourage law education, legal writing, and oral advocacy.
Deb Maliver, a former practicing physician who comes from a family of doctors, spent the early part of her career screening patients for preventable diseases such as breast and colon cancer and diabetes. Soon into her young career as a physician, Deborah S. Maliver M.D., J.D. found that there were a disturbing amount of mistakes being made by other doctors and surgeons. Her epiphany that much of the medical field had no way to hold itself accountable for medical negligence inspired her to become a medical malpractice lawyer. In 1995, she joined Attorney Biancheria and together they have run one of the most exclusive medical malpractice firms in the region.
Recently, Ms. Biancheria and Deborah S. Maliver M.D., J.D. invited Attorney Karesa Rovnan to join their practice. Attorney Rovnan is also a University of Pittsburgh School of Law graduate. In addition to medical malpractice law, Attorney Rovnan helps people who have suffered personal injuries and who have been hurt in motor vehicle accidents. She is excited to join the firm and looks forward to advocating for Pennsylvanians and their families who have been hurt or lost their lives due to the negligence of another person or entity.
Professional relationships and client interaction
The women at Biancheria & Maliver attribute their success to the professional relationships they have developed with surgeons and doctors around the region known for their testimony as expert witnesses. They also pride themselves on their interaction with their clients and understand that nothing is more important than communicating and being upfront with the people they work for every step of the way.
